The Silver Lake Schindler Tour is a 60-minute walking tour that examines 4 buildings designed by architect R.M. Schindler in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles. On this urban hike through the Silver Lake hills, guests view and learn about both Schindler's architecture and the architect. The tour begins at the base of the Silver Lake hills before ascending a secret staircase to view a collection of Schindler buildings. Keep in mind that this walking tour is somewhat physically strenuous -it's approximately half a mile up and half a mile down. 

The Silver Lake Schindler Tour is a great tour to take in conjunction with the Silver Lake Neutra Tour, as the history of the two architects is intertwined. Schindler and Neutra studied together in Vienna, Austria in the early 20th century and both aspired to work for Frank Lloyd Wright in the United States. Eventually, both architects made their way to Los Angeles, where they lived and worked together in Schindler's Kings Road House in West Hollywood. The Silver Lake Schindler Tour is available every Saturday at 12:00pm, immediately following the Silver Lake Neutra Tour which takes place at 10:30am.

The Silver Lake Schindler Tour is available every Saturday at 12:00pm. Reservations are required.
